Death Angel will be touring fairly extensively through the US later this year, and will be doing 25 shows in Europe next year. In addition, they’re booked onto the floating metal festival known as 70,000 Tons of Metal an awesome metal festival being conducted on a ship that will go from Florida to Mexico and back over 5 days from Jan 24, 2011. Darkane have finally got around to putting the finishing touches of their live DVD, Layers of Live, to be released in July this year. The footage of the main concert is taken from a show at their hometown club called The Tivoli in Helsingborg, Sweden in 2006. However, there is a bunch of other stuff on the 3.5 hour DVD, including:
- 40 minute In the Studio documentary
- 45 minute On the Road documentary
- 10 extra live songs from other shows
“This DVD contains so much more than just a live show, it could be described as the bible for every true DARKANE fan, and this is a way for us to say thank you for your support! Since the beginning of DARKANE ( and long before that ) we’ve always brought a video camera when recording in a studio or playing live, always with the intention to someday release a live DVD.”
This DVD also marks the 10 year anniversary of Darkane.
Here’s the teaser video:

Damn, now do I spend money going to see Overkill in Australia in late September, or do I keep as much as I can for the Exodus gig? aargh.
According to an Exodus blog post, they will be streaming an entire concert live from the Key Club on June 11th at 11pm (PT) / 2am (ET).
The show will be streamed on Stickam and will be captured for later viewing for those in different time zones.
