Mo Metal Monday is about introducing bands you may not have heard of before. The aim is to broad my (and your) horizons and find some quality stuff.
Demontage is a Canadian 3-piece band someone on Shreddit posted a link to. They call themselves black metal / psychedelic. And it’s probably safe to call them Blackened Heavy Metal. Their style actually reminds me a lot of Venom. Pounding doomy riffs and gruff vocals. Not so gruff as to enter the ridiculous cookie monster/wookie growling of death metal or the dying harpy screeching sound of second generation black metal, but, well, just think of Venom.
They’ve released two albums, Sacrilege ‘n Miscreancy (2006), and The Principal Extinction (2010). Both can be ordered from Shadow Kingdoms.
The Demontage MySpace page has a few sample songs which are well worth checking out.
